Undated Broadcasts Identified: Cecil and Sally (50 Updates Milestone)

Undated Broadcasts Project — 50 Updates Completed Milestone

With the completion of This update (50 broadcasts, Sequences 1438 through 1487), our undated broadcast resolution program crosses a massive historical benchmark: 50 completed updates of 50 broadcasts each, totaling 2,489 broadcasts fully dated, titled, contextualized, and resolved.

Covering the summer 1933 broadcast schedule of Cecil and Sally (starring Johnny Patrick and Helen Troy) on KPO/KYA and nationwide transcription syndication from June 19 to August 15, 1933, this cohort resolves Episodes 1081 through 1130.

This milestone sequence features several heartwarming and comical narrative transitions:

• The Stolen Jewels and False Alarm: French promoter Pierre is suspected of stealing Aunt Violet's heirloom pearl necklace after he struts into the hotel lobby wearing new silk finery. When Aunt Violet disappears, a bizarre telephone mix-up with the county morgue leads detectives to handcuff Cecil on murder suspicions, only for the indignant dowager to walk in alive and well.
• Baby Diane and Aunt Reconciliation: Aunt Bess returns from the mountain sanitarium carrying an adopted baby girl. The infant softens the formidable Aunt Violet, ending decades of family estrangement as the aunts kiss, make up, and settle under one roof to raise baby Diane Violet Shepard.
• Summer at Pine Lake Resort: Cecil and Sally take summer positions as activities directors at the rustic Pine Lake Resort, swimming out to lake rafts, dealing with tangled telephone switchboards, and investigating a silent mystery man.
• Mrs. Mason's Grand Marriage: Widowed neighborhood terror Mrs. Mason finally finds matrimonial bliss, marrying wealthy widower Wentworth J. Wentworth and moving to a high-society mansion.
