Undated Broadcasts Project — Cecil and Sally 100% Completed

With the completion of This update (26 broadcasts, Sequences 1688 through 1713), our archival restoration of Cecil and Sally (starring Johnny Patrick and Helen Troy) reaches 100% comprehensive completion: all 1,713 broadcasts in the archive are now fully dated, titled, contextualized, and resolved.

Across 30 dedicated updates (Updates 26 through 55), we have methodically reconstructed six broadcast seasons spanning 1928 through May 1934, tracking daily transmissions across KPO/KYA in San Francisco and nationwide electrical transcription syndication.

This final cohort resolves Episodes 1331 through 1356 (April 6 to May 5, 1934), taking the family on an exuberant Pacific Northwest road trip:

  • Tight Boots and St. Regis Misadventures: Traveling to Seattle, Cecil's stiff new riding boots swell on his feet, leading to an accidental holding-cell stay when a policeman mistakes him for a curb vagrant. In their hotel suite, an effort to pull the boots off splinters a mahogany bedpost.
  • Otis Up the Flagpole: Young Otis scales the hotel roof parapet and climbs the brass flagpole ten stories above the street, drawing an enormous crowd while Sally faints repeatedly on the pavement below.
  • The Spokane Hearse Collision: Demonstrating proper road safety on a Spokane boulevard, Cecil steps backwards directly into a slow-moving funeral hearse, resulting in a flurry of chocolate fudge, crossword puzzles, and hospital bedside pampering from Sally.
  • The Grand Finale (Episode 1,356): With travel funds exhausted, Cecil schemes to drop a novelty rubber cockroach into the dining room soup to evade the bill. Bracing for arrest when the police chief and hotel manager approach their table, the couple are instead astonished to receive a civic cash bounty and medals for unwittingly unmasking and capturing a notorious international hotel jewel thief!

Reaching 2,715 broadcasts resolved across the master project ledger, Cecil and Sally joins This I Believe as completely dated and standardized.
